I've created a new appointment type. Why is it not appearing as an option to book?

Steps to ensure your new bookable products appear in manual bookings and online bookings

To try the following troubleshooting suggestions, you must have a role assigned to you that gives you editing permissions for Users, Locations, and Products. For more information on roles, see here.

Is the appointment type linked to a practitioner?

All appointment types must be linked with at least one practitioner for them to appear as a booking option.

To check this:

1. Go to the Users tab in Settings.

2. Select the clinician who you want to link the new appointment type to.

3. Scroll down to Services provided, and check that the new appointment type is ticked.

Note: If you had to tick a new appointment type, remember to click Save in the top right-hand corner before leaving the practitioner's page.


Is the appointment type linked to a location?

All appointment types must be linked with at least one location for them to appear as a booking option.


To check this:

1. Go to the Locations tab in Settings.

2. Click on the location that you want to link the new appointment type to.

3. Click the more options icon next to the room you want to link the new appointment type to, then Edit.

4. Scroll down to Services provided, and check that the new appointment type is ticked.

Note: If you had to tick a new appointment type, remember to click Save in the top right-hand corner before leaving the room's page.
