What is Semble Connect?

Semble Connect was built to make automation easy, safe and affordable for healthcare teams even if you don't have an in-house tech team. It lets you connect Semble to other business tools without compromising on security. It's secure, designed for healthcare, and grows with your practice so you can have access to modern business tools to run your practice.


Why use Semble Connect instead of building it yourself?

Building custom integrations from scratch is often expensive and time-consuming. In the UK, developer day rates can range from hundreds to over a thousand pounds a day. Even a simple integration can take several weeks, meaning costs can quickly exceed £10,000–£20,000 for a single project.

And that's just the start:

  • Ongoing maintenance is required any time your tools update, break or add new features

  • Support and troubleshooting also fall on your team (or you'll pay your developer again)

For most clinics and small practices, this is simply not practical or affordable.

Semble Connect gives you the same automation power without the hidden costs.


Key concepts you need to know

Before we get started, there are three key concepts you need to know:
  • A connector is a secure link between Semble and another tool (for example, HubSpot, Mailchimp or Sage)
  • An automation is a rule you set up that makes something happen automatically (for example, "When I add a new patient in Semble, create a contact in HubSpot")
  • A task is each time an automation runs. For example, using the HubSpot example above, if you add 10 new patients in a month, that automation would use 10 tasks

1. What pre-built automations are on the roadmap?

2. How do I buy Semble Connect for Enterprise?

Semble Connect for Enterprise is available. To get started, just contact our friendly customer success team. They'll walk you through your options, pricing and help you choose the best setup for your clinic. 

3. How do I know if I should use the custom workflow builder for Enterprise?

If you need to automate more than two or three steps, connect many tools or set up rules that go beyond the basics, the workflow builder might be right for you. It's best for clinics with someone comfortable setting up rules-based automations with a good understanding of data structures. This feature is only available for customers on the Scale and Enterprise plans. For more information on the different plans, just contact our friendly customer success team.

4. What kind of skills do I need for the workflow builder?

Ideally, someone who's used drag-and-drop or logic-based tools before and who understands the basics of how your clinic's data is structured (e.g. patient fields, appointment types).

5. What if I don't have anyone technical on my team?

Please contact our friendly customer success team if you require any custom automation for Semble Connect for Enterprise.

6. Which Semble Connect features can I access on my current plan?
