Yes. We provide functionality for prescriptions to be signed electronically. Your compliance department should review and confirm that you are happy to use this.

With reference to the The Human Medicines Regulations 2012, we confirm the following points:

  • The signature is linked to an identifier which is unique to the clinician issuing the prescription.

  • The clinician is in complete control of their electronic signature, it cannot be accessed or used by anyone else (as long as the clinician keeps their password secure).

  • There’s a full audit trail, with time stamping and other detailed information recorded.
