Overview of Availability

Set the availability and business hours for your clinicians and practice

You can set the availability of your practice's configured locations and practitioners, from the Availability tab in Settings. A room's availability will appear in the General view of your practice's Appointments calendar.

Note: If you want to edit your practice's availability, you must be assigned a role that has Availability editing permissions. For more information on roles, see here.

Edit Clinician Availability

When you configure a practitioner or clinician's availability, appointments for that room can only be booked within the times you set.

To set a practitioner's availability:

1. Go to Settings, then the Availability tab.

2. In the Clinicians section, select a clinician from the dropdown.

3. Click on a day that you want to set the recurring availability for, then Add block.

4. Enter the time (Note: kindly use this sign ":" not "." or ";" or anything else) and the location you want the practitioner to be available for.

5. Fill in the other days as you want. When you have selected another day, you can click Copy from previous day to automatically copy the availability from the previous day.

6. Click the tick icon in the corner of the day's box to confirm the availability.

The clinician will now have a fixed availability which will show on their calendar. It will no longer be possible for patients to make an online booking with the practitioner outside of the times that you have set, however your Semble users can still make manual bookings if required.


Edit General Availability

When you configure a general availability in a specific room, appointments for that room can only be booked within the times you set.

To set a your general availability:

1. Go to Settings, then the Availability tab.

2. In the General section, select a location from the dropdown.

3. Click on a day that you want to set the availability for, then Add block.

4. Type the time you want the room to be available for into the time boxes (Note: kindly use this sign ":" not "." or ";" or anything else).

You can click Add block again to add multiple time slots if needed.

5. Click the tick icon in the corner of the day's box to confirm the availability.

6. Fill in the other days as you want. When you have selected another day, you can click Copy from previous day to automatically copy the availability from the previous day:

The location or room will now have a fixed general availability which will show on your calendar. It will no longer be possible for patients to make an online booking in the location or room outside of the times that you have set, however your Semble users can still make manual bookings if needed.
